Breast Implant Illness occurs with both saline and silicone breast implants and can be an array of symptoms related to toxicity, immune/autoimmune, neurological, endocrine and metabolic dysfunction.

In 2014 I underwent a breast augmentation surgery and received sientra silicone (gummy bear) implants. Soon after I started experiencing a long list of health issues that I never connected the dots too. Fast forward to 2023 when I became so sick and was desperate to find the root cause. In 2022, I was at a friendsgiving when a friend and I reconnected and she shared her journey of removing her implants and something inside me clicked. I was in denial and refused to believe that I was experiencing issues from my implants. I took a year to research and find out other possibilities as to what was going on. WELL it was mind blowing the information I discovered and I was on a mission to find a surgeon to remove my implants safely and correctly. 

This journey was not something I ever was fully prepared for but I am a year post Explant and am getting ready to start sharing my story. If you suspect that you are experiencing issues from your breast implants, you are not alone and please reach out.
